BSB 2009 Seaon Review

As the chequered flag fell at a gloomy Oulton Park yesterday evening the curtain also fell on the 2009 BSB season. The hope and optimism of all the riders who started the year now needs bottling up and putting away until 2010 and early April when they all gather again at Brands Hatch hopefully without snow!! Many riders ended 2009 on different bikes and in different teams to what they started the year on: Michael Rutter managed to ride all machines in the BSB paddock starting out on Rob Mac's Yamaha and ending the year on the Ducati twin. Tommy Bridewell started out in European Superstock in the Lorenzini by Leoni Yamaha Italia Team and finished in superb form aboard the Team NB Suzuki rumours abound about how old exactly this bike is but it certainly is no factory biike and to beat on many occassions this year the TAS Suzuki of Watanabe shows what a real talent this guy can be.

News today that Kagayama is swapping places with Guintoli on the WORX crescent Suzuki will see the brilliant and much loved Kagayama back in BSB with Guintoli taking the WSB ride presumably to partner Leon Haslam this is just what Lenon needs a good strong team mate with experience of the Suzuki to help his development along. I may be sticking my neck out a bit but I expect to see the pocket rocket on the top step of the podium at least once in WSB in 2010
